There is not a time when I don’t remember sewing. I helped my mom when I was young, and by my teenage years, I was making prom dresses and more. In college, at the University of Michigan, I received a B.S. in Medical Technology and managed to sew all my special occasion clothes. After marrying a local boy, I moved to Louisville, KY and began a new career studying Home Economics at Spalding College. Immediately after, I began my 25 year association with Baer Fabrics teaching everything from beginning sewing to flat pattern making to draperies. Now, in a new phase, I offer my services and experience to you. My specialties are:
- Garment construction
- Fitting
- Pattern Alterations
- Tailoring
- Flat Pattern making
- Wild Ginger computerized patterns
I have the capacity for 5 students in my sewing/teaching space.
- 2 long cutting tables
- Rotary cutting mats
- 2 Pressing stations, Rowenta irons and various pressing tools
- 1 Serger
- 2 Bernina Sewing Machines to rent
- Various rulers
